Thanks to this, we are contributing to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.

FSC POLICY, OSH, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Management is aware of the problems related to the protection of the Environment, and of the impacts that the organisation’s activities, direct or indirect, have on it. With this in mind, it recognises the importance of an approach that goes beyond the correct application of legislative provisions, while remaining within known technologies and sustainable costs.

The Bertesi production plant is FSC®-COC certified (FSC License Code C 186995)

Cartoplast Bertesi S.r.l. therefore undertakes to promote sustainable forest management consistent with the respect of the company’s ethical and environmental values and to:

✓ Implement and maintain an adequate management and control system of the FSC Chain of Custody inherent to its own products and those marketed;

✓ Work with suppliers that have obtained FSC forest certification;

✓ Promote and incentivise the use of FSC-certified material among its customers;

Not to be directly or indirectly involved in the following unacceptable activities:

  1. 1. Illegal logging or illegal trade in timber or products of forestry products;
  2. Violation of human and traditional rights during forestry operations;
  3. Destruction of high conservation values during forest operations;
  4. Major conversions of forests to plantations or other non-forest uses;
  5. Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations

  6. The violation of any of the fundamental conventions of the ILO (International Labour Organisation) which:
  • Guarantees workers’ freedom of association and rights for collective bargaining;
  • Prohibits the use of forced labour in relation to the organisation;
  • Guarantees minimum age for hiring employees;
  • Guarantees equality of employment covering recruitment, promotion, division of labour and dismissal division of labour and dismissal;
  • Ensures health and safety at work, including its documentation and reporting.

Cartoplast Bertesi S.r.l. also undertakes to keep this policy updated and to share and disseminate it with all personnel and other Interested Parties

Initiative co-financed with the support of the CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR SME INTERNATIONALIZATION PROJECTS, CONSORTIA, AND SME AGGREGATIONS – 2023 promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region Action 1.3.2 “Incentivizing internationalization processes to strengthen competitiveness and attractiveness in the markets of the regional production system” of the Regional ERDF Program 2021/2027
Cartoplast Bertesi Srl has implemented an internationalization project aimed at developing its business in the international context, entering new business areas considered particularly interesting such as: France, Benelux, UK. The company has leveraged the actual potential for strengthening in the aforementioned markets by improving its ability to operate in the international context. To pursue these objectives, a project was defined with the following interventions: digital marketing activities, consultancy for opening and developing marketplaces in the identified target countries, activities for the preparation of promotional material. The project has allowed Cartoplast Bertesi to increase the company’s performance level in terms of revenue and export incidence on revenue in relation to the 3 target reference countries (France; Benelux; UK)
